Never mind me being depressed, I was never one to be depressed. But it happened. The 'black dog' came to my house, and he took a long time to go away.
I had no energy to get out of bed, my head was banging like a metal box filled with hammers and the fear and panic I experienced was relentless.
I felt I was in a tunnel, a dark one and I could not see the light at the end. My days were long, and I was fed up with watching movies.
I found a small bit of wool in my home, 2 chopsticks and watched online how to knit.
Before I knew it, I had a jumper. 8 months on, I have hand knit 3 jumpers. And, I'm getting better. With some beautiful new sweaters too!
Now I'm going to be travelling 15,000 miles with my wool and needles to knit a sweater along the way to raise funds to the Dr Thomas Ernst Clinic in Kenya. Simply to say, thank you Dr Thomas, my domestic partner for helping me through this tough time.
